welcome
to the home of sea records
2010
hello
again - we've updated everything in time for the sea records re-birth.
forthcoming releases include - alisia casper, les cox sportifs,
dallas boner and we still have copies of the marble valley tour
only ep, 'super sober' available.
alisia
casper not only did the illustrations for this very site,
she also recorded a mighty lifeboat cd for us. after recording
her own cd's, we're proud to release this 7-track ep which follows
the collaborative 7", 'the bookshelf ep' on drahtwald
records with wolfram
wire. the ep features the track, 'mother i am free' which
reached no.14 in dandelion
radio's 2009 festive 50. the ep will ba available through
our shop from 17th april.
les
cox (sportifs) are old friends of sea records. have you heard
their mini-album 'neverheed'? or their 'total straightness' 7"?
if not, why not? two of the best uk releases in recent years.
we're happy to announce that we'll be releasing their first lp
proper, 'scheiß mit reis' . the vinyl includes a free cd
which will make everyone happy plus it's available to download
from virtual shops everywhere. release date: 5th july.
last
of our new releases but by no means least is dallas
boner whilst working on electronica for the best part of 10
years, we're lucky enough to be party to dallas' first song-based
album, 'i love you, please come home'. we challenge anyone to
not fall in love with 'transplant heart', it's got steel pans
on it.
marble
valley - after their 'super sober' tour in january, westie,
remko, beige and andy have been pre-occupied with rehearsals and
touring for pavement's reunion but the valley return with some
brief dates in may, playing hull, york and the pavement curated
all tomorrow parties. as a way to keep track and also an essential
education on tour survival, west has his own video blog.
there's a couple of interviews 1
2
/ podcasts
from the tour.
you
can of course satisfy your needs by popping to the shop
and getting yourself a copy of the 7-track 'super sober' ep.
finally,
where are wolf people, mugstar, broken arm? we're happy to tell
you that wolf people have recently signed to jagjaguwar
home of dinosaur jnr, black mountain and oneida. mugstar have
signed with important
records (usa) home of merzbow, acid mothers temple and a very
impressive back catalogue. finally, broken arm are set to release
a 7" this summer with one of the best uk labels, gringo
records home of bilge pump, lords etc
